Village of Pinecrest
Situated approximately 15 miles south of Downtown Miami and about 20 minutes from Miami International Airport, the Village of Pinecrest began as a staging area for Henry Flagler’s Oversea Railroad to the Florida Keys at the turn of the 20 th century. The region really began to flourish in the 1950s as a wave of residential single-family home building occurred across the market on large acre lots of existing farmland.
As a result, today’s Pinecrest homes boast some of South Florida’s most sought after real estate because of their large lot size, beautiful estates and tree-lined suburban streets. Incorporated in 1996, the Village of Pinecrest has gone to great lengths to protect its zoning restrictions while preserving its quintessential neighborhood charm.
Furthermore, the area & #39’s public schools are some of the most sought after in the entire state of Florida and it is home some of the best private academies in the Southeast making this neighborhood one of the most coveted for young families with children.
The Village of Pinecrest encompasses approximately 8 square miles and boasts a very well respected municipal government, features amazing parks and is often regarded as one of the most beautiful residential areas in all of South Florida.
